“ A TOTAL WRECK”
SAYS TENNESSEAN
Who Says He Now Feels Fine, Since Taking
Ziron Iron Tonic.
David Jones, of Forbus, Tenn.,
writes: “I got a bottle of Ziron and
will say that I never had anything to
come in so good a time as I was think
ing of giving up, I was so weak. I
cannot tell you how bad I felt. Had
stomach trouble, loss of appetite,
couldn’t sleep, in fact was a total
wreck all over, as I am subject to weak
spells in the Spring of the year. After
using Ziron will 6ay I now feel fine
and can do a fine days work. I think
you have a good medicine, and I can
surely recommend it to any one who
needs a tonic”.
Medical authorities and text books
agree that Iron is needed to keep the
system in good condition. Investiga
tion shows that pale, weak, tired peo
ple generally lack the necessary a
mount of iron in their blood. The
strength that iron gives may he ob
tained by taking Ziron Iron Tonic.

MAY PUT BOARD MEMBERS
AND DOCTORS IN UNIFORM
Washington, Sept. 7.—A movement
is afoot to put in uniform the mem
bers and doctors on local and district
boards.
That they are performing actual
military service is granted. And,
those urging the plan, suggest that
the uniform would tend to give the
boards a broader responsibility and
dignity than they now possess.
Many doctors, for instance, are
giving long hours free, performing
a service that is distinctly vital to the
military establishment. They incline
to feel that they should go into the
army proper. Lacking that, they be
lieve that their tasks now are such
that the government would be war
ranted in putting them in khaki as
board members.

How to Dry up Any Corn

Off
You corn-pestered men and women
need suffer no longer. Wear the shoes
that nearly killed you before, says
this Cincinnati authority, because a
few drops of freezone applied direct
ly on a tender, aching com stops
soreness at once and soon the com
loosens so it can be lifted out, root
and all, without a bit of pain.
A quarter of an ounce of freezone
costs very little at any drug store,
but is sufficient to take off every
hard or soft com or callus. This
should be tried, as it is inexpensive
and is said not to inflame or even ir
ritate the surrounding tissues or skin.
If your wife wears high heels she

INDUSTRIES GIVEN NEW
RATING BY WAR BOARD
—— —-
War Work of All Kind Put in
First Class Under New Ruling
Washington, September B.—A new
priorities list of industries and plants
essential to the war or the civic popu
lation wis announced today by Chair
man Baruch, of the war industries
board. It was described as the “mas
ter key” governing the" issuance of
priority certificates by the priorities
commissioner of the board of fuel
supply or electrical energy, transpor
tation, material facilities*, capital and
labor, and as the basis for industrial
exemption from the draft.
“The inclusion of the industries
and plants on this preference list,”
said the announcement, “does not op
erate as an embargo against all oth
ers, but the effect is to defer the re
quiremnts of all other industries and
plants until the requirements of all
those on the preference list shall have
ben satisfied.”
Each plant listed in the three last
classes will be required to file with the
war industries board before the 15th
of each month a report of its activi
ties during the preceding onth. Fail
ure to comply with this order will
mean removal from the preference
