NOTICE OF SALE
Georgia, Butts County. _
Whereas, J. A. Liuriora made,
executed and delivered to J. A.
Jarrell a deed to secure a debt,
recorded in deed book 2, page 45,
in the office of the clerk of Super
ior Court, Butts County, Georgia,
on March 9th, 1918, conveying cer
tain lands and empowering the sale
thereof by the grantee, said debt
being for the principal sum of
$564.00; and
Whereas, J. A. Burford made, exe-
cuted and delivered to the same
grantee another deed to secure an
other debt and empowering the sale
thereof in the same manner, said
debt being for the principal su*
of SOOO.OO, said deed recorded in
deed book 2, page 180 in the office
of the Clerk of Superior Court,
Batta County, Ga., and
W’hereas, the principal sum due
on both of sai.l notes aggregating
v 1,464.00 and the interest aggre
gates the sum of *725.21.
Now therefore, under and by vir
tue of the power of-a 1 . - contained
in the deeds executed by J. A. Bur
ford to J. A. Jarrell, n the 3th day
of March, 1018, and recorded in
the office of the Clerk of Butts
Superior Court of Eutts County, in
deed book 2, page 45 and also ir.
deed book 2. page 18k, the under
signed will sell, at public sale, to
the highest bidder, for cash, before
the courthouse door in said coun
ty, during the legal hours of sale,
on the first Tuesday in January,
1928, the following property, to-wii:

and bne-fourch acres, more or less,

Board Camp Creek, north by lands
formerly owned by F. R. Burford,
now J. A. Burford, east by lands of

on the south at the Water Oak in

the lands conveyed by S. H. Burford
to Mrs. Martha Respuss.
This being the land described in

purpose of paying two certain
promissory notes bearing date*
March 9th, 1913, and January 7th,
1920, the first note due ind payable
December Ist, 1913, and the sec
ond note due and payable January
7tfc, 1921, and made and executed
by the said J. A. Burford, said two
notes being for $1,464.00 principal,
and the first note stipulating for
interest after maturity, and the sec
ond note stipulating for interest
from date, at the rate of 8 per cent
per anrr n, the total amount dec
cn -aid notes being ? 1,464.00 prin
cipal and $727.21 interest, together
v th the costs o fthis proceeding as
provided in such deeds.
The proceeds from said sale wiil
first be applied to the payment of
said indebtedness and the payment
of costs of this proceeding and the
remainder will be paid over to J. A.
Burford the grantor. A conveyance
will be executed to the purchaser

as authorized in the said deeds.
