RESOLUTIONS ON DEATH
OF MRS. ANNIE E. WEBB
Whereas, our Heavenly Father
has called to her reward, Mrs. Annie
E. Webb, of Jackson, Georgia, who
for twelve consecutive years was
president of Methodist Woman’s
Missionary Society.
1. Be it resolved that our society
has lost one of its most beloved, con
secrated and active members. She was
wise in all her counsels, devoted to
her church and her influence will al
ways live in the city of Jackson.
2. That it can be truly said that
no better or more consecrated wom
an ever lived in our city. Her one
passion was to help others. From ear
ly childhood she was a devoted mem
ber of the Methodist church.
Our Savior has now called her
from his church on earth to the one
above, where she is waiting to wel
come her friends and loved ones.
“Someday our eyes shall see the
faces kept in memory
Someday their hands shall clasp our
hand
Think! what a meeting that will be.
Comfort us, O compassionate
Savior, for those dear ones thou
hast called to their eternal home.
May we remember with joy the
time as our departure draweth nigh.
We will join them in Thy presence
pardoned by thy mercy, O Lord our
Savior and our God.”
3. Be it resolved that a copy of
these resolutions be sent to members
of the family and that our deepest
sympathy be extended, also a copy
sent to Jackson Progress-Argus, and
a copy spread upon minutes.
