Under and by virtue of a power of
sale contained in the deed to secure
debt executed by J. C. Redman and
L. F. Redman, to J. W. & A. C.
Maddox on the 7th. day of Decem
ber, 1916, and recorded in the of
fice of the Clerk of Superior Court
of Butts County, Georgia, in deed
hook “X,” page 601, the undersign
ed will sell, at public outcry, between
the legal hours of sale, to the highest
bidder for cash, Deforc the court

Georgia, on the first Tuesday in De
cember, 1933, which is the sth. day

of December, 1917, and made and
executed by the said J. C. & L. F.
Redman and payable to J. W. & A.
C. Maddox, said note being for the
principal sum of $4,150.00, bearing
interest from date until paid at the
rate of 8 per cent per annum, the
total amount now due on said note
being Three Thousand ($8,000.00)
Dollars principal, and the sum of
Twenty Nine Hundred and Fifty and
thirty two one-hundreths, ($2,-
950.32) Dollars, interest to date of
sale, together with costs qf this pro
ceeding as provided in said deed. The
proceeds from said sale will be dis
tributed first to payment of said
note, principal and interest, and costs
of this proceeding, and the balance
to the makers of said deed.
A conveyance will be executed to
the purchaser by the undersigned, as
authorized in said deed.

The charter of the City of Jackson
was amended at the last session of
the general assembly of the state of
Georgia, providing for a permanent
registration for the City of Jackson,
Ga. The registration book is in the
hands of the City Tax Collector, Mrs.
W. H. Mallet, and the voters must
register with her. All persons who
wish to vote at the next election are
requested to register at once.

JUDGE BECK TO ADDRESS

Judge Marcus W. Beck, of the
State Supreem Court, has accepted
an invitation to address a joint meet
ing of the Sunday schools in McDon
ough at the Baptist church there at
10 o’clock on Sunday, November 12.
The members of all Sunday schools
in Jackson are invited to attend, and
members of the Men’s Bible class
of the Methodist church will assem
ble at the church at 9 o’clock and
will proceed in a body to McDon
ough.
Judge Beck is one of thee best
speakers in the state and his address
es are always heard with interest
and profit. No doubt there will be
many from here to take advantage
of this opportunity to hear Judge
Beck in his addres Sunday at the
McDonough church.

FOUR BOYS ORDERED TO
REPORT FOR TRAINING
Four Butts county boys, Travis
White, Wincel Johnson, Lewis C.
Grant and Dave F. Gray, were or
dered Monday to report to Atlanta
Tuesday for work in the reforesta
tion camp. The call came to the Butts
County Relief Committee,
line Mallet chairman, and the four
reported Tuesday for examination
and will be sent to Fort McPherson
for training before beginning work
in the C. C. C. camps.
Just how many boys Butts county
will be able to send to camp under
the new call is not known at this
time.
