are co-starred in “The Big Shake
down,” which comes to the Princess
Wednesday and Thursday. Farrell
and Davis, who play for the first
time together, make delightful screen
lovers. The picture is a thrilling
drama dealing with anew type of
racketeering which has come in since
repeal made the liquor game less
profitable. In addition to Farrell
and Davis, other noted stars will be
seen in the cast.

Lower Interest
Rate For Farm
Borrowers Made

borough, general agent of the Farm
Credit Administration for the third
Land Bank district, announced today
that word received fi-om Governor
William I. Myers of the Farm Credit
Administration reduced the interest
rate on new loans made by the Fed
eral Intermediate Credit Bank from
3 to 2% per eent, effective as of
March 16. This reduction in the in
terest rate of the Intermediate Cred
it bank will be immediately passed
on to borrowers from local produc
tion credit associations reducing
their interest charges from 6 to oYs
per cent. This reduction, applicable
until further notice, is made possible
by the recent sale of intermediate
credit bank debentures bearing a low
rate of interest. Not only was the
rate low, but the issue was heavily
oversubesribed.
REVIVAL SERVICES BE HELD
AT THE METHODIST CHURCH
Beginning Sunday evening, March
25, at seven p. m. o’clock, a series of
evangelistic services will be held at
the Methodist church. These serv
ices will be held each evening
throughout the week. The pastor,
Rev. R. P. Etheridge, will preach and
the music will be in charge of the
local church choir, with Mrs. D. P.
Settle director and Miss Anna Rosa
Bond pianist.
The entire community is urged to
attend and have a part in these serv
ices. This effort on the part of the
church is being put forth in the in
terest of the common good of every
family and every individual in the
community and it is hoped that each
one will seek his share of the benefit.
