will meet in Atlanta May 11-1' and
Dr. J. B. Hopkins of this city plans
to attend this meeting.
Friends of Mr. C. W.Buchanan
are distressed to learn of his illness
at a private sanitarium in Macon
where he was carried Sunday.

that her health is improving.
Mr. J. M. Gaston went up to At
lanta Wednesday to visit his broth
er, Mr. J. O. Gaston, who is seriously
ill at Georgia Baptist Hospital.
Friends of Mr. Gaston hope for an
•arly improvement in his condition.

guests Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Carlos
Mcßerry, of allmpton, Mr. Arthur

Little Miss Cornelia Ashley of
Valdosta, is spending several days
of the week with her grandparents,
Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Currie, while her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Ashley,
and her aunt, Miss Anna Ashley, arc
in Atlanta.
Mr. and Mrs. Morris Copeland, of
Griffin, formerly of Jackson, an
nounce the birth of a son on Friday,
May 1. The little boy has been
named Morris Roop Copeland, Jr.
Mrs. Copeland was, before her mar
iaige, Miss Margaret Dallis of La-
Grange.
