term, 1942, for citation, and that
citation issue; all the heirs at law
and creditors of the said Chas. L.
Woodward, deceased, will take no
tice that I will pass upon said appli
cation at the May term, 1942, of the
Court of Ordinary of Butts county;
and that unless cause is shown to
the contrary, at said time, said leave
will be granted. This 6th day April,

4-H GARDEN WORK
Last year Georgia 4-H club mem
bers completed more than 30,000
garden projects, growing over 11
thousand acres valued at three-quar
ter million dollars. The Agricultural
Extension Service aso says that ap
proximately 5,000 club members
completed ordhard projects, grow
ing tree fruits, bush fruits, and
grapes valued at more than 100
thousand dollars.

I was born in Thompson, McDuf
fie County, Georgia, and I have
practiced law here for the past sev
enteen years. I have represented
McDuffie County in the General
Assembly continuously since 1930,
serving in both the House and Sen
ate. In 1941 I was elected Speaker
of the House, and finished the ses
sion without a single appeal from
any ruling that I made.
I feel that I am well qualified to

employers seeking and filing claims
for deferment after notice to report
for induction has been sent the reg
istrant.
“Therefore, That hereinafter no
claim for deferment by any regis
trant or his employer will be given
any consideration after said regis
trant has been sent his notice to re
port for induction.”
