Ralph E. Evans
Asks Election
As Commissioner
Ralph E. Evans, prominent young
resident of Towaliga district, makes
announcement this week for County
Commissioner in the Butts county
primary of March 28.
In the special election of Novem
ber 30 to name a successor to the
late A. C. Finle’y, Mr. Evans was a
candidate and polled a splendid vote,
being second high candidate. In that
short campaign Mr. Evans was able
to form contacts in all districts and
make friends that he believes will be
of advantage in the present race for
the full term. Mr. Evans is a veteran
of World War 11, is an active Baptist
layman and takes an interest in all
community affairs. He is a successful
farmer and dairyman and is among
the best known of the younger busi
ness leaders of the county.
Mr. Evans is a candidate for a
place on the board of commissioners
for the term beginning January 1,
1953. He has a host of friends who
are impressed with his fine qualities
of character and believe he will ren
der the county faithful and loyal
service. It is predicted he will be a
strong contender for the office he
how seeks.
