My platform is: If lam elected as one of your Commis
sioners I believe in legalizing beer, for I believe, as many
others do, that the county could use the revenue received
from the sale of beer.
Furthermore, I believe .that the sale of these beverages
should be set up within the law and kept within law and
order. Regulation, to my mind, will be far better than now
exists without it.

IN MEMORIAM
With humble hearts and reverent
spirit, we pause to pay tribute to the
memory of our Dear Mother, Mrs.
L. D. Singley, Sr., on February 26,
1951. For her the Great Book of Life
had closed, but her work remains an
open book written in large characters
to be read by this and future gener
ations.
She was a loving mother who from
her early years caught sight of the
divine presence of an ever present
Savior and through the years sought
to build a home with faith and peace
enshrined.
She kept a constant vigil over the
entire welfare of the family and saw
each of them mature and set up their
homes in the mature light of con
science led by her unfailing love and
unfaltering trust in what she believ
ed to be most valuable.
In her declining years she became
more endeared to the hearts of those
who knew her as age sweetens all
t
characters who live in the light of
Christian living.
The one whom we cared
With such abiding love
Has found the wondrous shining
path
Up to that home above,
The home where love forever
dwells
Where loved ones but await
For us to share their happiness
Beyond the heavenly gates.
