To the Superior Court of said
county:
Newton Hardware Company, ap
plicant, brings this petition, alleging:
1. It is a corporation, organized
and existing under the laws of Geor
gia, doing a general hardware busi
ness for pecuniary profit, having its
principal office and place of business
at Jackson, Georgia, said corporation
having been chartered by this Court
originally for a period of 20 years
on May 29th, 1933, which said char
ter is recorded in Charter Book “2,”
pp. 43-45, Office Clerk Butts Super
ior Court, a certified copy thereof
being hereto attached and made a
part hereof, marked as “Exhibit A.”
Since that time, said charter has not
been amended or otherwise changed.
2. Said corporation desires renew
al and reingorporation of its said
charter for a period of 35 years
from May 29th, 1953, and, to that
end, held a stockholders meeting,
according to law, and by proper vote,
authorized this application, as shown
by an extract from the minutes, here
to attached, made a part thereof,
and marked as “Exhibit B.”
3. Applicant desires renewal and
reincorporation under the “1938
Corporation Law,” claiming all the
rights, privileges, and immunities al
lowed therein.
Wherefore, applicant prays its
charter be renewed and extended
for a period of 35 years from May
29, 1953, with the privilege of re
newing same at the end of that time,
and that it have all the benefits and
be subject to all the liabilities pre
scribed by the laws of Georgia for
corporations of like kind.

poration originally chartered by this
Court on May 29th, 1933, having
duly petitioned for a renewal and
reincorporation of its charter for a
period of 35 years from May 29,
1953; and having shown that said
application was based upon proper
corporate action, the same having

been voted unanimously by the
stockholders at a meeting duly held
according to law; and said application
otherwise complying with the terms
of the laws of Georgia; it is there
fore; considered, ordered and adjud
ged, that the original charter of
Newton Hardware Company be, and
the same is hereby renewed and ex
tended, and it is hereby reincorpora
ted, for a period of 35 years to be
gin on the 29th day of May, 1953,
and extended to the 29th day of May,
1988; and that said corporation have
all the benefits and be subject to all
thg liabilities prescribed by the laws
of Georgia for corporation of its
kind.
