Homecoming At
Pepperton Was
Well Attended
The homecoming at Pepperton
Baptist Church Sunday was an in
teresting event and was held in con
nection with the revival in progress
at the church frotn April 29 to May
10. Many members and former mem
bers now residing elsewhere return
ed for a day of rare fellowship and
cordial good will.
The fine dinner served at the noon
intermission was the highlight of the
day’s entertainment. Food was serv
ed in elegance and abundance to the
throng.
Aside from the religious service,
members exchanged reminiscences
and good fellowship was in evidence
during the day.
The revival, which began April 29,
is scheduled to continue during this
week and close on Sunday, May 10.
The Rev. Y. Z. Gordy of Greer, S.
C., is the guest minister for the
spring revival. The Rev. M. O. Har
rell is pastor of Pepperton Baptist
Church.
An extensive program of improve
ment was recently carried out at the
Church, making the edifice one of
the most comfortable and inviting in
this entire section.
The official board of the church
cordially Invites the public to attend
all services during the week.
Data Needed On
Wheat Acreage
For Three Years
On April 16, 1953, the Secretary

Pinal decisions on whether acre
age allotments and marketing quotas

not later than July 1, 1953 for
marketing quotas and July 15, 1953

of contacting farmers to obtain
wheat acreage figures for 1951, ’52
and ’53. W. C. Godsey, Chairman of
the Butts County PMA Committee,
urges every farmer who planted
wheat for any of these th.ee years
to be certain that his report is taken
