Pay By
CHECK
There must be a reason why, every month, more
and more people pay by check. Fact is, there are
many reasons ... all good. They avoid standing in
line to pay bills. They have a bonafide receipt (a
cancelled check) for every payment. They know
exactly how much they paid and for what. They
eliminate the hazards of keeping large amounts of
money at home. Step in and see hoW easily you,
too, can enjoy all these advantages.

Post Road To
High Falls Is
Well Advanced
1
What is known as the Brownlee
Road, leading from Jackson toward
the High Falls and Blount areas, is
nearing completion as a post road
project, it was reported last week
by T. W. Nelson, chairman of the
board of County Commissioners.
This was approved as a post road
project several weeks ago and con
struction was started soon after ap
proval. The work is now in its final
details, Mr. Nelson said.
This is the third post road pro
ject to have attention in recent
months. The Key Ferry road was
graded the past fall .It leads from
the Butts-Henry county line through
Fincherville and Worthville to Jack-
son Lake.
The England Chapel road was
next approved and was partially
graded before the Christmas holi
days. This road leads from Route 42
at Jenkinsburg to Route 16 at the
A. F. Taylor place.
Last project to win State High
way Department approval was the
Brownlee road.
A post road project in Towaliga
district is being urged for early ap
proval and no doubt favorable ac
tion on this road will be granted
soon.
Grading and hardsurfacing of
these post roads will do much to
give Butts county a system of de
pendable highways and will add im
measurably to travel conditions.
When Route 36 is completed,
which is expected to be during this
year, all main highways in the coun
ty will be hardsurfaced and the
county will then be in position to
give full attention to a system of
farm-to-market roads.
