MRS. J. L. MADDOX WAS
HONORED ON BIRTHDAY
Sunday, August 15, was a festive
occasion at the home of Mrs. J. L.
Maddox at her home on Indian
Springs Road, Forsyth. The event
honored Mrs. Maddox on her 97th
birthday.
Although the birthday did not oc
cur until Tuesday, the 17th, Sunday
was more convenient for those who
work, so Sunday was chosen for the
birthday observance.
It turned out to be a double cele
bration, for Beverly Maddox of At
lanta shared honors with her grand
mother on this happy occasion, the
15th being her birthday.
Among visitors calling to wish the
honoree many happy returns of the
day were Mr. Paul C. Maddox of At
lanta, who has the same birthday,
and Mr. and Mrs. Jon Farmer of At
lanta.
Many lovely and useful gifts were
received and at the noon hour a de
licious dinner was served buffet
style.
