Barrett Sr., was married to I*t. Alton Hugh Coleman, son of Mrs. Alton Coleman of Jackson, and the late Mr. Coleman, June 17th, at the Chapel at Fort McPherson. The Rev. JT Wayne Brookshear officiated. Miss Barbara Daniel was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Marion Fortner, Mrs. Claude Kilgore, Mrs. Day Crawford and Mrs. Donjett Yar brough, of Montgomery, Ala. Kay Reid was a junior bridesmaid. Lt. Coleman’s brother, Alfred, was his best man. His former classmates at the U. S. Military Academy, 1 Lt. William Burrus of Engelhard, N. C.; lit. Norman Blahuta of Coleman, Texas; Lt. Norman Smith of Utica, N. Y. ; and Lt. Billy Arthur of Aber deen, Miss., were his groomsmen. Charles Williams, organist at the Inman Park Baptist Church, render ed nuptial music and accompanied the vocalist, Jim Yarbrough, Mont gomery, Ala., as he sang “Because,” “Oh, Promise Me” and “The Lord’s Prayer.” The bride wore a gown of tulle and Chantilly lace over satin.
