Miss Gloria Ann Moss, daugh
ter of Staff Sergeant and Mrs.
Janies C. Moss Jr. of Elieson Air
Force Base, Fairbanks, Alaska,
become the bride of Mr. Dan Hy
mer of Amarillo, Texas, son of
Mrs. Velma Knight of Deadwood,
Oregon, in a ceremony at Elieson
Air Force Base Chapel on Satur
day, July 26th, at seven thirty
o’clock. Chaplain Lantz performed
the ceremony.
Baskets of white gladioli deco
rated the altar.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a white floor
length gown of lace and tulle
with a detachable chapel train
trimmed with a ruffle. The gown
was fashioned with an empire
waist with a high lace neck with
seed pearls. The three quarter
length sleeves were trimmed with
three rows of ruffles. Her veil of
illusion was attached to a tiara.
She carried a bouquet of yellow
rose buds with white daisies.
Mrs. Matthew Tripplet served
as matron of honor. She wore a
street length dress of red taffeta
and chiffon and carried a bou
quet of white daisies.
Sergeant Matthew Tripplet
served as best man. Robert W.
Moss, brother of the bride, and
Troy Myers were ushers.

O. Middlebrooks of Vienna. Mr.
Rice is the grandson of the late
Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Goodrum of
Vienna and Mrs. W. J. Rice and
the late Mr. Rice of Griffin.
Miss Middlebrooks and Mr.
Rice were united in marriage on
Friday, August 29th, in the home
of the Rev. and Mrs. Roy Vaughn
of Barnesville.

burgh, Pennsylvania became the
bride of Mr. Jerry James, son of
Mrs. Frances James and the late
Mr. Grady James of Jackson, in
a ceremony performed August
30th at the Methodist Church in
Riverdale, with relatives and a
few close friends in attendance.
The bride was formerly em
ployed by Eastern Air Lines in
Atlanta.
Mr. James is employed by
Southern States in Hampton.
Mr. and Mrs. James are mak
ing their home in Atlanta.
