To Unite Miss Elliott,
James Mack Cawthon
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Haywood
Elliott, Jr., of Conyers, announce
the engagement of their daugh
ter, Frankie LeNora Elliott, to
James Mack Cawthon, son of Mr.
and Mrs. James Russell Cawthon
of Jackson.
The bride-elect is the grand
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Robert Wells and Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Heywood Elliott, of
Conyers.
Miss Elliott attended Wesleyan
College and is presently a Junior
at the University of Georgia
where she is majoring in Special
Education.
Mr. Cawthon is the grandson
of Mrs. Asa Moseley and the late
Mr. Moseley of McDonough and
Mrs. Jessie S. Cawthon of Macon
and the late Mr. Cawthon, for
merly of Jackson.
The future bridegroom is a
graduate of the University of
Georgia where he was elected to
Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Kappa
Phi. He is presently in graduate
school at the University of Geor
gia majoring in Political Science.
The wedding will be December
26 at the Conyers Methodist
Church.

MET OCTOBER 15th
The Jackson Elementary School
6th Grade 4-H Club boys met at
the school auditorium October
15th with Carl Brack, leader. The
4-H elected the following offi
cers:
Mark Cawthon, president;
James Ross, vice president; Scott
W ashington, secretary-treasurer;
Ronnie Smith, reporter; Dan
Earnes, parliamentarian; Charles
Jones, song leader.
The 4-H group also discussed

HY-Y MEETING HELD
AT JACKSON HIGH
The Jackson High Chapter of
the H-Y met early in October
with the meeting called to order
by the president, Ramey Pace.
The treasurer’s report was given
by Victor Davis.
Two new officers, Eddie Bab
cock as school projects chairman,
and Keith Biles as community
projects chairman, were elected.
The club decided on money-mak
ing projects for this year.

Youth Revival
At Macedonia
October 22-25
A youth directed revival will
be conducted at Macedonia Bap
tist Church October 22nd
through October 25th.
The Rev. Charles Elder of the
First Eaptist Church, Conyers,
will be the revival preacher. Rev.
Elder is a noted youth speaker
and an outstanding evangelist.
Tom King of Macon will direct
the music.
Services will be held each night
at 7:30 except on Friday night
when it will begin at 6:30.
The youth of the church will
fill the choir, usher, bring special
music, and personal testimonies.
The public is invited to attend
these services. Rev. 0. M. Cates,
secretary of evangelism for the
Georgia Baptist Convention, will
fill the pulpit at the Macedonia
Baptist Church Sunday, October
19th, at both the morning and
evening worship services.
The public is cordially invited
to attend.

Supper Set
October 25
A feature of the Halloween
Carnival on Saturday night, Oc
tober 25th, will be a Spaghetti
Supper, a project of the PTA,
first grade, with the Italian del
icacy to be served on an all you
can eat basis.
In addition door prizes will
be offered and tickets can be
purchased from first grade
mothers.
The supper will be served from
five to eight p. m. in the school
lunch room with tickets for
children priced at 75c and adults
$1.25.
