THINK ON THY WAY
“I thought on my ways.” Psalm
119:59.
This passage of Scripture shows
the necessity of sincere thought
on the ways of life. Thought is
essential to right decisions and
duties in life. The mind is given
to man to use. Thinking must be
clear and correct.
“I thought on my ways.” The
inference is that the soul was on
the wrong way. It was going the
downward direction. Though the
way of sin looks inviting it is
filled with iniquity and trouble.
“The way of transgressors is
hard” (Prov. 13 :15). “The wicked
shall be turned into hell (Psalm
9:17). The way of the wicked
leads to eternal ruin. It is time
for the transgressor, the ungod
ly, and the wicked to stop and
think on their ways.
“I turned my feet unto thy
testimonies.” The soul on the
downward way saw the ruin
ahead and the fatal end took a
serious thought and turned about
face and accepted the way of the
Lord and went in it. No soul can
do this without the convicting
power of the Holy Spirit. When a
sou] is convinced of the error
of the way and the need of the
Saviour, it can turn from sin by
repentance and to Christ by faith
and walk in the way of the Lord.
“I made haste, and delayed
not to keep thy commandments.”
Much time has been lost. Much
talent has been wasted. Many
dangers are pursuing. Much work
must be done. Time must be
redeemed. The Lord calls to duty.
Many tasks await for doing.
Souls and lives are to be saved
before it is too late. Lessons must
be taught. Songs must be sung.
Truth must be proclaimed. Visits
must be made. There is no time
for the Christian to waste.
Sincere thinking will reveal
direction, reach decision, and re
veal duty. Think rightly! Think
now!

EAST WEST
„ Jail*!.. love is Best
Sue and Lee were only names to me ■when 1 first saw their picture. Incredible
that the children I now mother tenderly, once were strangers!
It seems only yesterday Dan wrote he was bringing them home. How frantic I
was with worry and self-doubt. Could I love, as my own, children with slanted eyes
and tinted skins? Would I fail them? Could I fulfill Dan’s faith in me? We had been
longing for children, true —but not foreigners!
In desperation, l called my pastor. Calmly and with understanding, he spoke to
me of God’s love as the common denominator of all nationalities.
And so from the moment I saw them, Sue and Lee have been our own, bringing
laughter and joy without measure.
How grateful lam for God and His Church and the wisdom they teach — in Christ
there is no East nor West. Without this truth my arms might still be empty.
