Jackson Devilettes downed the
Gordon Bulldogs by a score of
63-26. High scorer in the game
was Denise Davis with 31 points
which is her highest score to date.
Carole Lawrence scored 16 points,
Janice Cook 6, Inice Dennard 7,
Dale Patrick 2 points and Portia
Barlow 2 points.
The guards, Doris Greene, An
drea Holston, and Patrice March
man only allowed 2 points the
first quarter and 8 the first
half. Each person on the team
was able to play. This made Jack
son’s fourth straight win.
The Jackson Red Devils defeat
ed the Gordon Bulldogs 77-47.
Victor Davis was high scorer with
22 points, Bill Nelson followed
closely with 20 points, Nat Thur
man netted 12, Alton Jester 9,
Jimmy Head 9, Randy Moss 3,
and Fred Head 2.
No player on the Gordon team
was able to score over 11 points
and this shows that Jackson dis
played a good defense. It seems
as if Jackson will continue their
winning streak.

Greenville
BY STEVEN BALL
On Wednesday, December 10th,
the Henderson Tigers took on
Greenville High School with the
Tigers blasting them in both
games.
The Tigerettes won by a score
of 60 to 18. They were literally
unstoppable. The Greenville girls
were never really in the game
after the first quarter. At half
time the score was 31 to 7 with
Greenville managing only 2 points
in the second quarter. The rest
of the game was all for the Ti
gerettes. Much of the credit
should be given to guards Daisy
Grier, Rosa Head, Jean High
tower and Gladys Freeman. The
play of these girls was simply
fantastic. For the Tigerettes,
Regenia Lawrence led all scoring
with 31 points, followed by Are
tha Pye’s 18 points and Patricia
Barlow’s 10 points. For the
Greenville girls Sandra Ogletree
hit 11 points, Mary Hall 4 and
Christine Johnson 3.
The Tiger boys displayed one
of the greatest team efforts of
the season. The Tigers won by a
score of 64 to 55. The boy’s
game, like the girls, was all Ti
gers. Nearly everyone on the
team scored as follows: Larry
Brownlee 12 points, 0. Woodard
11, Clarence Norris 8, Nathaniel
Lawson 7, John Sims 8, John
Webb 7, Robert Griffin 2, George
Akins 2, Bobby Lawrence 2, Hen
ry McDowell 2, J. W. Jefferson 2,
and Harold Webb 1. Top rebound
ers were John Webb 13, Clarence
Norris 14 and John Sims with 16.
The record stands at three wins
and six losses.
