Open House Sunday Was In
Honor Of Golden Wedding
Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Wise
Mr. and Mrs. Dewey B. Wise
were honored by relatives and
friends on Sunday afternoon,
February 22, with an open house
in observance of their fiftieth
wedding anniversary. Some 100
guests called between the hours
of two and five o’clock to extend
congratulations to the couple.
Several beautiful flower ar
rangements of gold and white
were used throughout the house.
The three-tiered cake of yellow
and white was topped with a
groom and bride wearing a gold
gown and the number “50.” Gold
colored punch, mints and nuts
were served.
Mrs. Wise wore a corsage of
yellow carnations and Mr. Wise
wore a single yellow carnation.
Mr. and Mrs. Wise were mar
ried on February 21, 1920 by
Rev. England in the parsonage of
the Jackson Methodist Church.
Mr. Wise is the son of the
late Mr. and Mrs. William Morton
Wise. He has one living sister,
Mrs. Mae Glaze, and one living
brother, Mr. C. B. Wise, both of

Miss Bonnie Brack was honored
on her tenth birthday with a
party at the Skating Rink at In
dian Springs. The skating party,
given by her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Carl Brack, took place from
two o’clock until four o’clock
Saturday afternoon.

Hutcheson, Cindy Williamson,
Kathy Crockarell, Frankie Mad
dox, Teri Dodson, Lindy and Kay
Mackey, Sonya and Marie Moore,
Beverly O’Neal, and Carl Brack
Jr.
Assisting Mr. and Mrs. Brack
were Mrs. Bobby Williamson,
Mrs. Dicky Moore and Mrs. Loy
Hutcheson.

Mrs. Wise is the daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. James Hen
ry Rawls. She has one living
sister, Mrs. Minnie Hoard, and
one living brother, Mr. Lonnie B.
Rawls, both of Jackson.
Mr. and Mrs. Wise were blessed
with two children, Helen Virginia,
and Thomas Marlin, both now de
ceased.
Guests were received by Mrs.
Hoard and the guest book was
kept by Mrs. Glaze. Those assist
ing with serving included Mrs.
Willie Avery Cook, Mrs. Ralph
F. Cook, Mrs. John Sharrell and
Miss Mary Rawls.
Many lovely gifts were received
and will be enjoyed by the couple.
