SPREAD A LITTLE LOVE
Once an elderly gentleman
89 year* of age came to the
study of one of our great spirit
ual leaders.
He said that for a number of
days he had been feeling an
urge to come and suggest that
a simple little statement be used
throughout the world. The state
ment—“ Spread A Little Love.”
“I think it would be good,”
he continued, “to have a little
plaque or poster in school rooms
and homes as well as in many
places so people could be remind
ed to "Spread a Little Love.”
As I read about this experi
ence my heart began to whisper,
“He is saying something of real
significance." After all, what
more can we do than spread a
little love. What a difference it
would make in all the situations
of strife, confusion, bewilder
ment, and controversy if each
Christian would undertake to
spread a little love!
Much healing could come in
communities torn by racial strife
if every Christian realizing he
belongs to the Saviour, would
spread a little love.
Many a church member rent
with discord would find healing
and blessing, if every member
would endeavor to spread a little
love. Many a home would dis
cover that friction, hatred, and
division would give way to joy,
peace, happiness and unity if
each person in the family would
spread a little love.
Many of our attitudes, actions,
and words would be greatly im
proved by remembering to spread
a little love. Some of the difficul
ties, burdens and sorrows that
come our way would take on
fresh meaning if we saw in them
an opportunity to spread a little
love.
The power of this suggestion
lies in its simplicity. It is some
thing that a Christian in the hard
est circumstances can do.
Who knows what might happen
if, into every loving Christian
heart, there would come a set
tled determination to spread a
little love.
Perhaps this is why God lets
some of his saints tarry to a
great age in that when their
physical sight gTows dim but

RING DOWN THE CURTAIN
When we leave the concert hall, the music is gone. When we leave the
theatre, the play is over. Not so with life! It continues on and on.
Life is net just a play. In the play an actor has no choice. But in real life
you, the actor, have many choices, and how you play the part is up to you.
But still you need direction, coaching, encouragement. All these you can
find in your church, for the Supreme Author of all life can give you inspiration
and faith. In church, in the silence of your heart, you will hear His voice and
understand.
