Dalton Choir
To Present
Music-Drama
The “Joyful Noise,” a
selected group from the
Youth Choir of the Dalton
First Baptist Church, will
present a music-drama en
titled “The Clown,” Thurs
day night, August 28th, at
7:30 in the sanctuary of
Jackson First Baptist.
The choir of 12 is under the
direction of J. Wayne
Robertson, minister of
music.

Mrs. F. A. Holston attended
the Homecoming at the
Bellevue Baptist Church in
Macon last Sunday .While
there they visited with Mr.
and Mrs. M. D. Post in the
afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Welch
and daughter, Sheila of
Panama City, Fla., had
dinner recently with Mr. and
Mrs. J. C. Post. They were
enroute to Birmingham to
take their daughter to enroll
in nursing school.
Dr. and Mrs. Tom O’Dell
and children spent several
days last week vacationing at
Panama City, Fla.
Glen Raney of Morrow
spent several days last week
with his grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Fred Raney.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Thurston and George Ann,
Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Thurston, Jr. of Trenton; N.
J., were luncheon guests last
Thursday of Mr. and Mrs.
Lynwood Thurston and
family and visited that
afternoon with Mrs. T. P.
Thurston.
Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Jones
of East Point enjoyed last
Sunday afternoon visiting
with Mr. and Mrs. E. H.
Cook.
Friends of Mrs. W. H.
(Jane) Mallet will be
interested to know she is now
at the home of Mrs. J. J.
Harris on Stark Road.
Mr. Erskine Rice of New
York spent last weekend with
his aunt, Mrs. W. H. Mallet,
and Mrs. J. J. Harris at the
home of Mrs. Harris.
Mrs. Elise Gregg, Tim and
Mickey spent last week at
Myrtle Beach, S. C. Theresa
Crowell and Debbie of Rex
also spent the week at the
beach.
Mrs. G. C. Shoemaker of
St. Joseph, Missouri left
recently for her home
following a visit of several
weeks with Mr. and Mrs.
Wayne Barnes and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Fountain and Judia Frazier
attended the Solomon-Cigna
rella wedding at the Robins
Air Force Base chapel,
Saturday, August 23rd, with
reception at the Officers
Club. Mrs. Cignarella is the
sister of Mrs. Charles E.
Fountain.
Mrs. J. B. Settle left Friday
for her home in Camp Hill,
Pa. following a visit of two
weeks with her mother, Mrs.
Hugh Mallet, and other
relatives.
Mrs. Alton H. Coleman Sr.
spent two weeks recently
visiting her son, Lt. Col.
Alfred H. Coleman Jr. Mrs.
Coleman and children, Alton,
Cindy and Sharon, in
Newport News, Virginia. Col.
Coleman is stationed at Fort
Monroe, Va. The Coleman
family returned Mrs. Cole
man to Jackson and were
joined by Mr. and Mrs.
Alfred Coleman, Susan and
Al, of St. Simons for a most
enjoyable weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Adams
recently attended the Pear
son family reunion at Sharon
Primitive Baptist Church in
Forsyth.
Mrs. J. B. Settle of
Harrisburg, Penn., returned
home last week after a ten
day visit with her mother,
Mrs. Hugh Mallet.
