News From WORTHVILLE By MRS. W. G. AVERY Rev. and Mrs. Clarage Tucker had as house guests for the Labor Day weekend their sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wil liams, and another sister, Mrs. Clarence Tucker, all of Greer, S. C. Cathy Cochran, who is stationed with the Craig Air Force Base, Alabama, spent the Labor Day weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Cochran. Friends of Mrs. Keith Washington are sorry to know that she entered Georgia Baptist Hospital, Atlanta, Friday for tests and observation and is in the intensive care unit. We wish for her a quick and complete recovery. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hamlin and Debbie had as guest for a few days her mother, Mrs. Bernard Maddox of the Four Points Community. Mrs. Maddox is recuperating from surgery which was perform ed at Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta and we wish her a speedy recovery. Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Tribble and daughter, Cynthia White, together with Sharon Banks ton of Flovilla, and Mr. and Mrs. Otis Faulkner of Barnesville spent last Wed nesday and Thursday at Callaway Gardens and Warm Springs. Hiram Smith returned home Sunday from the Veterans Hospital in Decatur where he underwent surgery last Tuesday and we wish him a quick get-well. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Ireland had as guests last Thursday evening Rev. Henry Brooks and David McLendon of Locust Grove and Mr. Larson of Jackson. Mrs. J. H. Pope, Mrs. Nellie Cochran and Mrs. Otis Stephens visited Mrs. Minnie Lee Hodges and the Tom Collins family in Decatur last Tuesday afternoon and they report Mrs. Hodges as improving following a stroke and surgery several weeks ago. Mrs. W. S. White has as guests last Tuesday her daughters, Mrs. Grady Wilson and Mrs. Phillip Green of Decatur and on Thursday another daughter, Mrs. E. M. McCart of Covington, was a spend the day guest with her son and his family. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis White and Myron of Covington visited her Friday evening. Sunday guests were Mr. and Mr§, Phillip Green and'Mrs. Lucille Green of Decatur. Mrs. Forest Cook of Milledgeville spent the week end with her father, B. F. Hamlin, and brothers, Mel vin, Lamar and Virgil Hamlin. Mrs. J. H. Pope had as guests last Monday her sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Troy Welch of Jackson. Mrs. Nellie Cochran ac companied her daughter, Mrs. Edna Wilkerson of Atlanta, and granddaughter, Mrs. Mike McKinney, and Mr. McKinney of Morrow to Warner Robins where they spent the Labor Day week end with her sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Harris. Janet Washington of At lanta spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Washington. Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Ireland were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Russell Blanken ship of Stockbridge recently. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Mason had as guests on Saturday Mr. and Mrs. Hollis Maddox of Atlanta. Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Washington visited their brother, Geise Potts, and Mrs. Potts of the Stark Community Sunday night after worship service. The Booth and Whitted families held their reunion jointly at the Worthville Masonic Lodge Hall Sunday with 44 family members present.
