On October 27, the Student
Council presented the 1975
Coronation Ceremony at the
Jackson High School Audito
rium. The purpose of the
ceremony was to present the
Club Sweethearts, Class
Queens and to crown the
Homecoming Queen for 1975.
Those representing the
clubs were: Art Club, Wanda
Grant; Co-Ed-Y, Valita Sing
ley; Drama Club, Laura
Landers; F.8.L.A., Mindy
Harper; F.C.A., Miranda
Jester; F.F.A., Kay Mackey;
F.H.A., Jacquelin Andrews;
French Club, Debra Barlow;
Honor Society, Nancy Shaw;
Key Club, Julian Ann
Henderson
Blasts
Stockbridge
Henderson Junior High
finished season play last
Thursday at Stockbridge
with a 44-14 victory, thus
clinching the West sub-region
championship for the Tigers.
The Tigers finished the

Stockbridge could not
handle Henderson’s potent
offense as the Tigers scored
41 points in the first half and
coasted in for the victory
using reserves during most
of the second half.
Highlights of the game
came when Willie Ward
gained 278 yards in the first
half and also kicked a 24 yarn

Homecoming Court were
also presented at halftime of
the Jackson-Henry County
game Friday night.

Tift Choir
In Concert
Nov. 9th
FORSYTH. GA. The Tift
College music department
presents a fall concert at 3
p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 9 in
Roberts Memorial Chapel
here.
The Tift Choir, composed
of sixty students, will sing
popular folk songs as well as
selections by Bach, Schubert,
Vaughn Williams, and Ben
jamin Britten.
Miss Donna Davis of
Newnan will play an organ
solo, “Prelude in Fugue in F
Major’’ by Buxtehude.
Miss Cindy Crocker, mezzo
soprano from Monticello, will
sing Aaron Copland’s “The
World Seems Dusty” and
“I’ve Heard an Organ Talk.”
An aria from “Gianni
Schicchi” by Puccini will be
sung by Miss Sue Ellen
Hughes of Cairo.
Also on the program are
Miss Judy Collins of Vidalia
and Miss Carol Motley of
Warner Robins, duo-pianists,
who will play Rachmanioff’s
“Vocalise” and “Braziliera”

mouche Suite.”
The public is inivted to
attend at no charge.
Moseley Recital
Is Postponed
The recital originally
scheduled by Rose D.
Moseley, Mezzo-Soprano, for
the school auditorium at one
o’clock on October 27th, was
postponed because of illness
of Miss Mosley.
The recital was postponed
because of a mild virus
attack, but Miss Moseley’s
doctor assures her that with
some rest she will be as good
as new in two or three weeks.
It is hoped that the recital
can be re-scheduled at a later
date.

Friends of Mrs. Fred
Hamlin are sorry that she
was slightly injured in an
auto accident in Jackson last
Wednesday and her car
suffered some damage too,
but we are happy that it was
no worse.
Mrs. W. L. Sealey returned
home from Georgia Baptist
Hospital Sunday after under
going surgery there last
Tuesday. We wish for her a
speedy recovery.
