November 25,1975
It is the intent of this
article to inform Butts
County Citizens on recent
developments concerning
1975 Property Taxes. The
Butts County Superior Court
ruling of October 21, 1975
allowed members of the
Taxpayers Protective Asso
ciation to pay on 1974 values
at the 1975 millage rate,
pending settlement of the
court case. This forced the
County Commissioners to
reconsider the original mil
lage estimate. The 1975
millage rate is now set at
23.75. The digest has been
approved by the State and
tax notices should be mailed
in the near future. From the
date your tax notice is
mailed, you will have 60 days
in which to pay your taxes.
