Mrs. Cora Berryman,
sister of Mrs. C. L. Bradley is
now making her home at
Living Center Nursing home
in Griffin. Mr. and Mrs.
Bradley helped her in closing
up her home and getting
settled at Living Center.
They spent Thursday with
her at the home.
Mr. and Mrs. Bradley
spent from Tuesday to
Thursday in Atlanta, to be
near and to visit Mrs. Ulis
Sosbee, daughter of Mr.
Bradley. She spent three
weeks in St. Joseph’s
Hospital but is now able to be
at home in Morrow. Mr. and
Mrs. Bradley visited the
Sosbee family last Saturday.
Mrs. Herman Harris
underwent surgery and is a
patient at South Fulton
Hospital. Her many friends
are glad to know that she is
recovering satisfactorily and
hope she will be home soon.
Little Matt Cawthon, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Horace
Cawthon celebrated his Ist
birthday last Saturday. He
had a birthday cake and a
good supper. His invited
guests were his grand
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Odell
Cook and Mrs. Ina Cawthon.
The community extends a
hearty welcome to Mr. and
Mrs. Bob Taylor and daugh
ter, Robin. They have just
moved into their beautiful
new home on the Stark-Biles
Road.
Mr. and Mrs. Larry
Morgan have also moved
back to the community and
are receiving a warm
welcome. Larry is planning
to build anew home and for
the present are residing in
the home formerly occupied
by Larry’s parents.
Mr. Jim O’Neal left Sunday
afternoon to enter Ponce de
Leon Infirmary, where he
will have surgery this week.
The many friends of the
family wish for him a speedy
recovery.
Billy Austin, nephew of Mr.
C. L. Bradley, passed away
at his home in Atlantic City,
N. J. on Friday night. The
funeral and interment will be

with his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. W. C. Morton.

wedding anniversary recep
tion of Mr. and Mrs. J. W.
Bunn at McDonough, Sunday
afternoon.
Mr. Bob McGinnis entered
Piedmont Hospital Sunday.
Friends hope his condition
will improve soon.
Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Lane
of Avondale Estates visited
Mr. and Mrs. Jim McMichael
and Mr. and Mrs. Hulon Cook
on Thursday.
Mrs. Bessie Cawthon is a
patient at Georgia Baptist
Hospital. She is improving
daily and friends are hoping
that she will be home for
Christmas.
The Lottie Moon Christmas
study on Foreign Missions
was presented by Group No.
2 of the W.M.S. on Thursday,
December 4th, in the
Fellowship Hall of the
church. Seven members
were present and a very
interesting and covered dish
hot meal was enjoyed at the
noon hour. Rev. Bill Whit
latch was present for the
beginning of the service and
obligingly favored us with a
solo “Redeemed How I Love
To Proclaim It.”
Mr. Robert Taylor is
presently at home with his
friends at Westbury Nursing
Home and would welcome
visitors at any time.
Mrs. Ella Young is also at
Westbury and wishes to see
her many friends when ever
they can visit her.
Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Bradley
met with the Atlanta Transit
retirees at the airport
Saturday for their monthly
luncheon meeting.
The Christmas Cantata
will be presented on Sunday
morning, December 14th, at
11 o’clock by the adult choir
of Macedonia Church. The
choir under the capable

Whitlatch, has been work
ing on this musical program
for a long time and it
promises to be a lovely
presentation. Everybody is
invited to come and hear it.
The Junior and Youth
Choir will sing on Sunday
night, December 14th.

Mrs. Florrie Cooty Greg
ory, 78, of Indian Springs,
died early Thursday evening,
December 2nd, about 6:20
o’clock at Sylvan Grove
Hospital where she was
admitted early that after
noon.
Born June 18, 1887 in Butts
County, she was the daughter
of the late John Paul Cooty
and the late Mrs. Jennie
Hoard Cooty, both of Butts
County.
Funeral services were
conducted Thursday after
noon. December 4th, at three

by her husband, Leonard
Gregory of Indian Springs;
two sons, Johnny Edward
Wilkes, Sr. and George H.
Wilkes, both of Forsyth; one
step-daughter, Mrs. Belle
Waldrop of Indian Springs;
seven grandchildren; nine
great-grandchildren; two
brothers, Paul Cooty and
Floyd Cooty, both of Indian
Springs.
