LORA AND NANCY ANN CHEVES WITH HAYWARD BEAUREGARD
By Jerry McLaurin
Hayward Beauregard, a
four year old golden shep
herd, makes his home with
the Cheves family on
Jackson Lake. Cora and
Allen Cheves got Hayward
after they read an ad in one
of the Atlanta papers which
advertised free dogs.
Hayward is a mature and
conscientious dog and is a
keen watchdog for the girls
and Adam, the Cheves’ one
year old son. Always keeping
a watchful eye on the kids,

Hayward stays out of the way
most of the time and is
extremely obedient.
In contrast to most
canines, Hayward doesn’t
like to chase cars, but living
on the shore of Jackson Lake,
a popular spot for fishermen
and skiers, he gets a big kick
out of chasing boats!
Though a courageous and
fearless canine at heart,
Hayward cowers at the sound
of guns being fired or
rumbling thunder. Should a
