TO ALL THE CITIZENS
OF BUTTS COUNTY
I, J. K. (Red) Godwin,
am a candidate for County
Commissioner for Post. No.
I am a family man with
10 children, seven of which ggflH f
are living at home; two sons
in the armed forces, one
married daughter who
resides here in Jackson.
I have been in Butts
County for the past ■[
years. Since living in Butts jffr*, ."*s^
P e ated 'e est
aurant for approximately
five years. I have worked with the City of Jackson Police
Department for one and half years. At the present time I am
doing construction work such as asphalting, paving,
landscaping.
I believe the people of Butts County need a working
Commissioner, someone that cares for all the citizens of Butts
County.
It was brought to my attention, by the citizens, in the June
3rd election of the paper of the discrimination concerning the
mobile home owners.
The mobile home residents do pay taxes, just like the home
owners. I firmly believe that Butts County would grow and be
more prosperous if this restriction was reconstructed from 10
acres of land to two acres of land.
If there were more mobile home owners this would help
reduce the heavy tax burden on the home owners. The mobile
home owners have a fixed income same as the home owners;
sometimes it is impossible to buy 10 acres of land.
If elected as your County Commissioner, I will recommend
to the chairman of the board that this discrimination be adjusted
immediately. For I feel sure that Butts County can be a better
county in which to live; for I do care for all the people.
Your support and vote will he greatly appreciated.
