powers contained in the Deed
to Secure Debt, executed by
William Samuel Kubricht,
Jr. to Edgar L. Thaxton,
dated March 21, 1972, which
said deed is rcorded in Deed
Book 47 pages 76 through 78
in the Office of the Clerk of
the Superior Cpurt of Butts
County, Georgia, there will
be sold at public auction to
the highest and best bidder
for cash at the Courthouse
door of Butts County,
Georgia, by the undersigned,
acting as attorney in fact for
the said William Samuel
Kubricht, Jr., between the
hours of 10:00 A.M. and 4:00
P.M. on the first Tuesday
inoctober, 1976, to wit
October 5,1976, the following
described land, to wit:
All that tract or parcel of
land lying and being in the
610th Dist., G. M., Butts
County, Georgia containing
'wenty five (25) acres, more
or less, being improved with
a seven room house, and
being bounded as follows:
North by T. W. Futral, east
by Walter F. Graefe; south
by Etheridge Smith Cos., and
west by J. R. Hatcher
homeplace. Said description
is as of now or formerly. This
is the same property as that
described in the deed of
September 1, 1945 from Mrs.
D. W. Folds, as Administra
trix of the Estate of J. F.
Cochran as grantor to Dewey
W. Cochran, as grantee, as
the second described tract in
said deed, said deed being
recorded in the Office of the
Clerk of the Superior Court of
Butts County, Georgia in
Deed Book 14, Page 392. This
is also the same property as
that described in that certain
warranty deed of December
22, 1964 from Dewey W.
Cochran to Edd Thaxton and
recorded in the Office of the
Clerk of the Superior Court of
Butts County, Georgia in
Deed Book 31, Page 469.
Said powers will be
exercised and said land will
be sold as the property of
William Samuel Kubricht,
Jr. by the undersigned as
a Korney in fact for the
purpose of paying the
indebtedness secured by
said deed, to wit, the
principal sum of Ten Thou
sand Dollars, besides
interest thereon since March
21,1973 at the rate of eight (8
percent) per centrum per
annum, said indebtedness
having become due on March
21.1976, and no part thereof
having been paid. Proper
conveyance will be made to
the purchaser by the under
signed as attorney-in-fact of
said William Samuel
Kubricht, Jr..
Said property will be sold
subject to all unpaid taxes
that may be a lien on the said
property, and right is
reserved to offer same for
sale from day to day until
acceptable bid is obtained.

validity of various contracts

ant relating to the ownership
and operation of facilities to
be acquired by the defendant
Authority for the generation,
transmission, and distribu
tion of electric power and
energy and to adjudicate the
validity of a contract
between said Authority and
each of said defendant
political subdivisions under
which contracts said political
subdivisions have agreed to
make payments to the
Authority, some of which
payments are pledged as

celebrated their fiftieth wed
ding anniversary last Sunday
at their home here. Their

ion. Two brothers, Clint and
Chester Power, and sister,
Mrs. Mae Delong, joined
them along with friends and
relatives from Marietta,
Acworth, Cumming, Griffin,
Atlanta, Decatur, Roswell
and Jackson to honor this
lovely couple.
Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Norton
of Ozark, Ala. were weekend
guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. A.
Norton.
Deep sympathy is extend
ed to the family of Mr. and
Mrs. D. T. Ford in the death
of his father, Mr. D. F. Ford.
The message was received
Sunday afternoon and im
mediately after the call* Mr.
and Mrs. Ford and Mr. Eddie
Ford left for Fort Worth,
Texas; and will remain for
several days. Mrs. D. F.
Ford is ill also and we wish
for her better health.

ANOTHER CIRCUIT BREAKER-Power lines in East Jackson at the intersection of
Hwys. 42 and 16 are constantly being victimized by motorists. The latest incident occurred
Sunday night about 7: 15 p.m. when a care driven by Frank Price of Jenkinsburg failed to
make the curve and crashed into a utility pole in front of Hodges Hardware. Price was only
slightly injured in the crash but electric service in parts of Jackson suffered heavier
damage, with service being out in parts of the City for an hour or more.

Mr. Emory Waits is improv
ing while still a patient at the
West Paces Ferry Hospital in
Atlanta.
