TEACHER AIDES
HONOR DR. MANLEY
WITH DINNER PARTY
On Monday night, Decem
ber 13, twenty-two Butts
County teacher’s aides met
at the home of Mrs. Johanna
Anderson for a Christmas
party. Dr. Jo Ann Manley
was the guest of honor. After
a delicious covered dish
dinner was served buffet
style, the aides presented Dr.
Manley with a china plate
with their names painted on
the back. The plate was
given in appreciation for Dr.
Manley’s initiation of the
teachers’ aides program and
her training of the aides.
Mrs. Anderson’s home was
beautifully decorated
throughout with the Christ
mas theme and members of
the group shared their most
memorable Christmas.
NOT TOO CLUB
MET AT HOME
MRS. SMITH
The Flovilla Not Too Club
met December 16th at the
home of Mrs. Mildred Smith
with nine members present.
The leaders, Mrs. Mildred
Smith and Mrs. Christine
James planned for the
members to make “little
Christmas trees” for the
patients at Westbury to wear.
The work was a labor of love
to help brighten the holiday
season for them. Mrs.
Smith’s home was beautiful
ly decorated throughout for
the holiday season. Many
beautiful Christmas arrange
ments and decorations made
by the hostess were enjoyed
by the members as they
toured the home.
Delicious refreshments
consisting of Christmas cook
ies, party mix, fruitcake and
punch were served by the
hostess. Christmas gifts were
presented to the members.

Any season can be the
season of sore throats. A
plain old sore throat is
simply an infection of the
throat, and can be very
painful. This is because the
acute inflammation causes
the throat to swell, making
swallowing difficult.
A severe sore throat
requires a visit to the family
doctor, who will likely
prescribe an antibiotic, and
bed rest. The sore throat, and
accompanying fever, are
usually quickly remedied by
this procedure. However,
other treatments will be
administered if your problem
is something other than a
common sore throat. See
your doctor to be sure.
Whatever is prescribed,
you can get the prescription
filled accurately, and
promptly at this drugstore.
Medicine is our business.
