LOMA REDMAN’S PARTY
When Loma Redman’s birthday comes due,
Her friends get together and we’ll name a few;
At the head of the list is Anne O’Neal,
She presents the Birthday Cake, what’s the deal;
Here’s Charlotte Barber with a corsage for you,
Loma can’t wait to know what to do;
There’s Mary Anne Leverette with her pen and script,
She writes fiction so Loma auiDS.
Anne McClelland says Loma’s her aunt,
To name all her kinfolks you simply can’t;
Norma Carmichael, you just can’t beat,
she arrives at the party so pretty and neat;
Edith Echols remembers the Mood Rings,
recalling last year’s fun and other things;
Evelyn Saunders is Loma’s neighbor and friend,
Her many good deeds never end;
Fore Freeman is the nearest one,
She’s ready for the party and fun;
Agnes Hundertmark. is there too,
We miss her tonight, we really do;
Kathleen Pinckney is such a dear,
When you need her, she’s always near;
Bea Briscoe is anew commissioner’s wife;
We’ll ask later - How is life;
Catherine Fletcher knows Loma’s game,
What happened last year, we won’t tell his name;
Margarett Etheredge says we have our tree to trim:
We must all be good and wait for Him;
Bernice Maddux will remember this day,
Because we are all so happy and gay;
Beth Hearn says it’s the good that’s in us all,
That our friends can always recall;
Imogene Goff is so merry and jolly,
We miss her this year, by golly;
Let's don’t leave out Charlene Starr,
She’s ready for excitement near & far;
Dr. Joanne Manley keeps rushing on,
She realizes 1976 has finally gone;
Thelma Prosser predicts with Jimmy Carter,
The Year of 1977 should be a great starter;
Sara Collins is always ready to eat.
Let’s get busy and see what’s in treat,
Here's Charlotte Price with our gift to you.
We'll all sing “Happy Birthday” too:
