The 1976-77 Future Busi
ness Leaders of America did
many things in the month of
December. For the first week
of December on Tuesday
night we met at the home of
Mrs. Brooks, one of our
advisors, and made decor
ations for our Christmas
tree. We had much fun just
being together. The second
Tuesday night we had a
Christmas party. It was held
at Lisa Landers’ house. We
had much food and fun.
There were about 35 people
at the party. We would like to
say a big Thank-You to Lisa
Landers and her parents for
letting us come into their
home. We really enjoyed
ourselves.
On the 3rd Tuesday night
we went caroling. We have
really had a great time in the
past year. We just hope the
New Year holds a lot for the

Veterans Asking
About Military
Service Medals
ATLANTA Veterans
who just never got around
to picking up their medals
earned in various periods of
service in the military may
be interested to know that
they can still get them.
Georgia Veterans Service
Director Pete Wheeler said,
“Judging by the number of
veterans who visited our
‘Georgia on Parade’ exhibit,
and asked if they could still
get their medals, there must
be a great number of them
who never bothered to apply
for some of their military
awards.”
During the recent
“Georgia on Parade” exhibi
tion in the World Congress
Center, the Department ot
Veterans Service exhibit
featured a huge showcase in
which were displayed all the
medals and ribbons awarded
by different branches of the
United States Armed Forces
for various campaigns and
periods of military service.
Wheeler said that it ap
pears that “maybe a lot of
grandchildren are asking
granddad about his wartime
activities, as most of the in
quiries about the medals
were from our older
veterans.”
Veterans may apply foi
their medals by filling out

CALLING COLLEEN:
How Do You Handle
Jealous Boyfriend?
BY COLLEEN DUDGEON
I am 23 years old and I
was going with this guy who
just turned 30.
We broke up because some
guy kissed
me after his
team won a f r
baseball j M
game and my
boyfriend
slapped me Xr
in the face. I
tried to explain but it all
happened so fast I was in a
state of shock.
I saw him the next day and
asked if we could talk but
he refused. Then we had
another fight because he
was with a girl I had asked
him to stay away from. He
also told me he had sex with
her, and that from now on
what he did was none of my
business.
So after the situation was
totally rocked up, I tried
to write, but he wouldn’t
answer any of my letters.
When 1 got over feeling
sorry for myself and decided
that the break-up was best, I
ran into him again at the
movies. Again, he told me he
had been having sex with the
same girl.
I was really hurt. But I
keep remembering all the
beautiful plans we had made
for the future. He had in
troduced me to his parents
and we had even talked
about getting married.
Yesterday he came over to
see me! He told me he still
loves me, as I love him. but

says he won’t take me back
because of how I have hurt
him in the past. I tried to
remind him of all the times
he’s hurt me, and that we
can’t live in the past. But he
always brings it up. I also
found out he’s going out with
another girl who used to be a
close friend of mine.
I love him and will do just
about anything to get him
back because I’ve found my
happiness and love with
him. Although we hardly
ever speak, I always write
him or something just
to keep in touch. Yet when
ever we talk, he persists in
talking about the past. What
should I do?
WAITING AND WANTING
Dear Waiting and Wanting
Don’t wait any longer.
You’re hooked on a real
loser and the sooner you
realize it, the better. You
said he kept bringing up
things you did in the past
that hurt him. but you never
said what they were except
for a kiss at a baseball
game. Anyone who is that
protective or jealous has his
head on backwards! Before
you can fall in love you
should try to get perspective
of yourself. Do you want an
attachment with someone
who does nothing but bring
you grief? Think about it.
