Patricia’s HHB Ponderings By Patricia Smith, Butts County Home Economist The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension serv ice and Gordon Junior College are working in a joint effort to present “A Day at Gordon Junior College.” It is to be a day devoted to citizens who are 60 years of age or older who want to spend a very interesting and unusual day at the college. Men and women of Butts, Upson, Lamar and Pike Counties ' are invited to participate in the program planned for Friday, May 6. Sportsmen Asked to Assist In Drafting Game-Fish Regulations The Game and Fish Division of Georgia’s Depart ment of Natural Resources is holding a series of public hearings throughout the state in April so that the public can contribute to the estblish ment of open season dates and bag limits for the. 1977-78 huntng season. The District IV meeting will be held Monday, April 18th. at 7:30 p.m. in the Georgia Forest Research Council Building on Riggins Mill Road in Macon. Hearings will be devoted to a discussion of specific provisions necessary to augment the Game and Fish Code passed by the 1977 General Assembly. THOMASVILLE TO HAVE ROSE SHOW The 56th Annual Rose Show & Festival is scheduled for April 18-24 in Thomasville, Georgia, “The City of Roses.” To accent the event, city streets and parkways have been planted with over 22.000 rose bushes, in bloom for the crowds attracted to the festival.
