Beautification Committee
Holds Planning Meeting
At the meeting of the Butts
County Beautification Asso
ciation. Thursday, May 5 at
the Central Georgia EMC,
the committee members
decided to form a committee
of two persons from four
areas of the County to select
"beauty spots” in those four
areas to be highlighted in the
Association's 1977 beautifi
cation program
Mrs Martha Payne, who is
in charge of special projects
for the BCABC, will coordi
nate this project and the four
areas will be designated as
East Butts (Flovilla and Iron
Springs). Jenkinsburg-Stark,
Jackson and West Butts
(Towaliga).
The Committee also dis
cussed the selection of the
1977 theme and logo and
narrowed the choices to
three. Mrs. Thelma Prosser,
scrapbook chairman, and
Scott Coleman, artist for the
BCABC. will make the final
decision on the logo at a later
date
The three final suggestions
for the theme, which the logo
will be worked around, were
"Working Together for a
Better Tomorrow,” “Success
and Progress--Our Goal,”
and "Beautification, An
Investment in Progress.”
