Mrs. Frances James, Mrs.
Mervin Brian, and Mrs. S. A.
Elliott attended a district
Missionary Rally in Barnes
ville on Saturday. The guest
speaker was Mrs. Gene Little
of Burundi, Africa.
Mrs. Vivian Hightower
returned home Friday from
visiting with relatives in
Dallas and Corsicana, Texas
for several days. She also
attended the wedding of her
nephew in Waxahachie,
Texas.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Burns,
Vicki and Cathie were guests
Sunday evening of Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Burns, Sr.
Mrs. Edith Roberts re
turned home Thursday from
Hilltop Nursing Home and is
feeling much better, her
friends will be interested to
learn.
Among those from Flovilla
going on a bus tour to
Nashville, Tennessee visiting
the Grand Ole Opry, Opry
land and other points of
interest were Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Elliott, Miss Wendy
Elliott, and Mr. and Mrs.
Larry Branch.
Mr. James Hilley of Macon
visited Sunday and Monday
with Miss Fredna Hilley.
Sunday evening they enjoyed
dinner with Mr. and Mrs.
Albert Thrasher.
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hood
and boys were overnight
guests Sunday of Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Elliott and
family.
Congratulations to Dennis
and Nancy Smith on the birth
of a daughter, Natalie
Rebecca, Monday, May 23, at
the Coliseum Park Hospital
in Macon.
Mr. and Mrs. Curtis
Cochran of Juliette were
guests Sunday of Mrs. W. E.
Waits.
Miss Ethel Smith of
Jackson visited Saturday
with Mrs. Edith Roberts and
Miss Virginia Smith.

guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. D.

Virginia Williams.
Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Shields
have returned to their home
in Mansfield after spending
several months with Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Shields and John.

Billy and Beth, Mr. Emory
Duke and Miss Jo O’Brien of

guests Sunday afternoon of

FISHING PROSPECTS

Fishing should be fair to
good in Butts County this
week, according to Ben
Gunn, fishing expert of the
Department of Natural Re
sources.
Jackson Lake will be
normal and clear, with
fishing good for bass using
plastic worms at 10-15 feet,
slow for crappie and good for
bream and catfish. High
Falls will be fair to good for
bream; slow for others.
