A baked potato, a casserole, or bread will cook perfectly in a thermostatically controlled toaster oven. If you are preparing small amounts, the cost of cooking a food in a toaster oven is less than that of a conventional oven. There are several precau tions you need to take when using a portable toaster oven. Be sure that curtains, towels and potholders do not touch the oven. The electrical cord should be placed so that it will be out of the reach of small children. A final precaution is to make sure the oven is not placed near heat sensitive items such as plastic items. Fill a three or four inch pot with a loose potting soil mixture and place it next to your fern and then plant the end of the runner from the old plant into the new mixture. When two or three leaves appear on the new plant it’s time to cut the plant from the original plant. Be patient and in time you will have another specimen to enjoy or share with someone.
