This is the direct result of the virus infection being transmitted by the blood to the membranes which cover the brain and spinal cord. Inflamation of these mem branes is known as Meningi tis. Warning signs of Meningi tis include a high fever and restlessness. Back and neck pains and severe headaches are also indicators of this disease. These conditions may later be followed by sleepiness. Meningitis often resulted in death or crippling impairment many years ago, but can now be successfully treated with the use of modern drugs. Meningitis is sometimes caused by virus infection other than those of the childhood diseases men tioned. And, it can be the result of an infection if the head receives a severe wound which breaks open the skull. -Our store carries a complete line of pharmaceu tical supplies.
