Parts of Jackson Without
Electricity Last Thursday
Meals were being cooked,
some of them only half-done.
Some only needed to be
reheated.
At one local church, it was
the last night of the revival
and the preacher was coming
to dinner at one home.
Luckily only the casserole
was not ready to be served.
A lot of families were
probably already fixing
sandwiches for supper.

And the victim.
The almost unrecogniz

believed to be sufficient
evidence to make the charge.
It was a “4.2 KBA” line and
the evidence was a tiny bird
which flew unsuspectingly
into the powerful line. A
large portion of the city,
including many businesses,
was without electricity.
Lunsford said the bird flew
into “two phases and shorted
out the three phase reclosure
on Holly Street.”
He added the electrical
