They Flew.
An amusing incident occurred last Sun
day evening. It happened in this way:
Two certain young bloods v.hq begin to
feel their responsibility, and pose before
tho mirror for hours, peeping al, and toy
ing with their upper lip nursing something
that resemblds the fur on a peach, went to
call ou their best girl. No doubt on their
way they were thinking of many sweet
things and preparing, for an outburst of
eloquence which the} are certainly cap¬
able of doing. But when they arrived at
their destination, nnd the beautiful and
adored one met tnera at the door, she
was followed by Pup. who didn’t exactly
like the looks of the two young gents, and
made a break f<?r them. It took the
young lady’s best to keep Pup from mak¬
ing a meal of tho tender youths, 10*4 when
they got n chance, sailed over the fence like
chained lightning turned loose, and sped
with the velocity of a hurricane. It. is
said by those who saw the performance,
that it would have puzzled a grey hound
to have kept them in view two minutes.
They Hew ! Some say it was tough on
the boys, while others say that if Pup had
been so unfortunato as to have bitten
cither of the boys, it would have been
tough on the dog. That’s tough boys!

Finding by long experience that tlic ordinary Trdn

light wagons. I have had STEEL Thimbles put on all
my wagons, under 2} size. These Steel Thimbles will
wear much longer, and they never break with proper
usage. * •
