Compared With Cur Neighbors.
In noticing statement of business at
different points on the B. Yv'. division of
the Central railroa 1 we are gratified to
find that with t he exception of the cities
of Am trims, Lumnla and Albany, Fort
Gaines leads the van. Compared with
her sister towns, Cuthbcrt and Dawson,
the figures are as follows : Cuthbcrt
Tonnage 7,07G : Revenue from freigh
835, 589. 40; From Passage §10,840.65.
Daw sou, Tonnage 9,865; Revenue from
Freight £36,739.28; From Passage
£10,57.1.72 ; Fort Gaines Tonnage 15,099
Revenue from Freight $44,070.00.
As is well known Fort Gaines being
situated at tin terminus of a branch road
the revenue from passage is of course
less than the towns compared win, it,
both being situated on the main line.
As the busmeis of the present year is
heavier than ever known before we look
for a large increase in these figures in the
next annual report.
