resulted from expensive habits, and
the divorce courts are stocked with
cases where women were disappointed

TO MAKE MONEY EASY.
Hie Jrold standard may slay, or the
free coinage of *ilver may come, hut
we will never have ‘‘easy money” and
plenty of money in Georgia until the
lawn of the state provide reasonable
safety and protection for it. People
who have money to loan or invest are
not going to send it in to a state that
has so many exemptions and such
lame system of collection laws as we
I have in Georgia, when investments
that are safe can he had clscuhere.

Many people in Georgia arc begin

of sound and honest collect ion laws in
this state, and the Herald hopes to live

enactment of laws that will invite
money into the state rather than
frighten it away.—Albany Herald.

One evening this week, Airs. .Smith,
accompanied by M. AI., made their
way to the pond to go boat riding.
Their program before starting was to
row out to the middle of the pond
where one of them was to lose her
balance and fall into the water (acci¬
dentally, of course) and the other, like
a heroine, was to jump alter her friend
and bring her safely into the boat and
then faint herself and sink, and the
other was to save her m some way.
But when they arrived at the pond
some vagrant had either stolen or hid
the boat, so they have put off their ro¬
mantic deeds till another boat can be
built.
