The Steamship “Ogeechee,”
the second of the fleet of freight
ers of the Brunswick Steamship
Company, will sail from New
York to Brunswick on the even
ing of January sth, IDO7. Freight
will be received for this sailing
at 14th Street, North River Pier,
January 3rd, 4th and sth.
Hon. Daniel Gaskin brought
into our office last week, one of
the largest turnips that we have
ever seen. It weighed more than
eight pounds and came from an
acre patch and he says has more
than five thousand that will weigh
more than five pounds each. This
is only an instance of what the
soil of Cot Tee county will do. We
can raise everything that we
need, and there is no excuse if
we do not do it.
