GET READY FOR EASTER!
T cordially invite the public to call and inspect my several lines of New Goods, bought with an eye to
A the Spring and Summet wants of the people of this section. It seems that fashion and elegance in
different forms and patterns is found in every shipment, the hues and shades of the rainbow is outdone.
“Economy and Quality” was my watchword in purchasing, and when you sidestep this policy you will
regret that you have not seen mv beautiful stock now ready for inspection:
I have just received a shipment
of the famous
Lord Baltimore
CLOTHING,
for Boys and Youths. Guar
anteed to fit and
Retain their Shape.
Be sure to see this line before
you buy that
Easter Suit
for your boy, and both will be
satisfied with the purchase.

The Macon News fears that
the Southern railway track be
tween Macon and Atlanta is
already worked to a frazzle by a
dozen trains a day. It doesn’t
see how they are going to push
any Seaboard trains over that
line.
One of the new spring gloves is
white silk with the tops inset with
a wide band of Irish point lace.
The effect is beautiful in the long
gloves worn with white dresses.
The same stlyes come in green,
blue, gray and all of the lavender
shades.

It is to be regetted that the
Sunday School Convention at
Union Hill, and the Snyrna BaD
tist Association at Nichols, con
venes on the same day. Your
“Uncle Jim” does not see how
he can “fill in” at both places,
at the same time and Brindy so
slow.
We have the best jury system
in the world but sometimes jurors
forget the great trusts inposed
in them. The law of Georgia
says, juror must be selected from
intelligent and upright men.
We believe we have this in Coffee
county as much as any where,
and we say what we are here
saying to remind them of their
> duty.
IF you condense the last ten years into paragraphs
describing women’s progress, one of them would
be “Queen Quality” Shoes. They are the last word
of fashion, and they fit as no other shoes have ever
fitted. They retain their shape longer than any
other ready-made shoe. Yet, solely because of their
large sale, they cost you no more than ordinary shoes.

The average father claims all
the credit for his good children,
and lets his wife take all the
blame for the bad.
A Georgia woman, Mrs. Peach,
up in Way cross, the other night,
saw a strange negro stealthily
entering her home. She didn’t
faint, she didn’t scream, nor she
didn’t runaway; she merely got
her revolver and put a bullet
through the burglar’s leg and he
now reposes in jail. Here’s a
Georgia Peach for you worthy of
all the praise’ever bestowed upon'
the whole crop. —Live Oak Demo

The office of the Augusta

destroyed by fire last Monday
night. Insurance $60,000. Of
course it will be rebuilt, better
and brighter.
The present Central American
revolution is assuming a serious
aspect. Even the police force is
powerless to disperse the armies.
Nebraska has passed the 2-
cents-a-mile rate law, and every
special and fast train in the state
has been discontinued. Texas
has passed a law requiring that
all passenger trains shall be
operated within thirty minutes
of schedule time. In a week
three through fast trains have
been “killed” because they were
a little more than half an hour
late. In each instance the trave
ling public suffered.
In order to restore public con
fidence. the Macon News sug
gests that the railroads might
print testimonials from passen
gers who have ridden on their
trains a number of times, and
never been killed.
