the state urging them to sell a
county urging them to call a
county educational rally on
July 4.
It is proposed to have these
rallies in every county in the
state on that date with a view to
backing up the attitude recently
taken by the educational confer
ence of business men recently

ter and a number of county
school superintendents have
stated they would hold meetings
on that date. In many instances
he has also been promised the
support of the local press.
Commissioner Merritt is anx
ious to have the educational sit
uation in Georgia brought closely
to the attention of the legislature
at its coming session in the hope
that something of value may be
done for*the’schools.
