DOUGLAS ENTERPRISE, JUEY 20tli, 1907.
Dunned a Man On Post Card.
Vance L. Brigman, of Fitzger
ald, a young white man about 22
years of age, was arranged yes
terday before U. S. Commis
sioner R. J. Bacon, and the hear
ing, which was not concluded,
will be continued on July 10.
It appears that Mr. Brighman
had mailed a post card to some
one who owed him a debt. It
was a souvenir postal card, and
at the bottom called on the debt
or for payment of the bill. There
is a law against dunning a per
son on a postal card, and the
maximum penalty for the same
is five years and $5,000.
The young man states that he
did not know he was doing any-
; thing wrong, and that as long as
he lives he will never use another
j postal card. —Albany Herald.

their fathers and, sometimes,

Every dollar that your child eets

Some of the old confederate
veterans do not approve of ladies
wearing Confederate Uniforms,
with dresses instead of trowsers,
as was done at Richmond last
month. Of course, the ladies let
patriotism run away with their
better judgement, but will not
do so again.

We do not want our children'
educated at the expense of some
others pale, abused, hungry and
ragged children, whose little
bodies are ruined in life, and
whose little souls are drenched
in sin, and whose final resting
place will be in Hell. Do you?
Are you not in favor of paying
more for your own children and
arranging matters so these poor
little pitiful human beings can
have a better chance?
