Now that thanks giving day is

Rev. L. A. Hill left Monday
afternoon for Brunwick to attend
the annual conference.
The Ayers show continue every
night and it’s something new

Rev. and Mrs. A. D. Kendrick
left Mondry for Rome, where
they will spend a few days with
home folks.
Rev. T. B. Stanford was in
town a few days this week. His |
friends here are always glad to
see him.
Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Ward came
up from Jacksonville to attend
the wedding of his sister. Miss'

The Coffee County Medical
Society meets Tuesday, the regu
lar monthly meeting. It is hoped
that there will be a full attend
ance. There is business of im
portance.

location of one of the five Union
soldier’s home which the National
Government has determined to
establish in various s ictions of
the country for the benefit ot the
old soldier. We are glad to lca;n
that this plucky town stands a
chance to get this home, and it
will prove to bo very valuable to
the town an i country.

much of minor importance, fol
lows:

received into the fellowship of
the churches 258, church houses
built 2, church houses dedicated
3, deacons ordained 10, religious
services conducted and assisted
in 833.
Many things of less interest
might be presented here, which
would make a greater show, but
that is not the meaning of this
brief sketch. The executive
committee has re-elected me foi
another year, but I have not de
cided as to whether or not I will
accept. I have had several other
propositions. I feel very grate
ful to all who have given me
thoir sympathy and co-operation
in this work, especially the exe
cutive committee and pastors.
