ELISHA CORBITT,
Guardian of Dennis P. Peterson.
GEORGIA, Coffee County.
To the Honorable J. I. Summerall,
Judge Superior Courts for said Coun
ty:
The petition of Elisha Corbitt, guar
dian of the person and property of
Dennis P. Peterson, heretofore duly
appointed as such guardian, and reg
ularly qualified, respectfully shows:
1. That he desires to sell, as guar
dian, at private sale, the following
property, the same being a part of
the real estate of said ward, to-wit:
The south half of lot of land number
two hundred and fifty (250) in the
fifth (sth) district of Coffee County,
Georgia, containing two hundred and
forty-five (245) acres, more or less.
2. That said property is wild land,
that it produces no income, that it
has produced no income for some time
past, that it has been denuded of all
of the pine and cypress timber situ
ated thereon suitable for saw mill,
cross tie, turpentine, or -other com
mercial purposes, that it is so situ
ated that it will not enhance in value,
and hat the payment of taxes thereon
would be an expense unwarranted by
the circumstances.
3. That this petitioner desires to
invest the proceeds of said sale in im
provements on four hundred and for
ty (440) acres, more or less, of lot of
land No. four hundred and thirty
eight .438) in the fifth (sth) district
of Coffee County, Georgia; same be
ing the tract on which said ward now
resides, and on which he has begun
to build a home and clear a farm.
4. Your petitioner shows that said
ward is a married man, with a family
to support, that he has commenced
and now has under way the erection
of a residence, barns, and the usual
supply and tool houses incident to a
well kept farm in this section of
Georgia, on said four hundred and
forty (440) acres, more or less, of lot
of land No. four hundred and thirty
eight (438) in the fifth (sth) district
of Coffee County, Georgia, and that
he has commenced to fence and clear
land for agricultural purposes there
on.
5. That the funds to be derived
from the sale of the aforementioned
tract of land are needed for reinvest
ment in improvements on said four
hundred and forty (440) acres, more
or less, of said lot number four hun
dred and thirty-eight (438); that is,
for the purpose of completing resi
dence, barns and other buildings, clear
ing, fencing and preparing for culti
vation a farm from which to earn a
livelihood for said ward and his said
family, and rendering said tract prof
itable and habitable.
6. Petitioner shows that notice of
his intention to make this application
has been published once a week for
four weeks in the Douglas Enterprise,
being the newspaper in which county
advertisements are usually published,
as required by law.
Wherefore petitioner prays that
this court grant an order allowing the
sale of the South Half of lot of land
number two hundred and fty (250)
in the fifth) district of Coffee County,
Georgia, containing two Hundred and
forty-five (245) acres, more or less,
