Which Shall It Be?
l)o you intend to continue laboring, burning valua
ble fuel and destroying high-priced food with that old
worn-out cook stove?
You KNOW that old stoves eat up a lot of fuel each
year. You KNOW you have trouble in getting it to
bake just right, in fact, spoil a batch of bread every
once in a while—you know it costs considerable for
yearly repairs.
Stop and think and figure. Wouldn’t it pay you to
buy a good range—a range with a reputation—
THE GREAT MAJESTIC ”“ RANGE
You make no mistake in buying the GREAT MA
JESTIC— it’s the range with THE REPUTATION
ask your neighbors- Then, too, i.'.’s made just right
and of the right kind of nj^eriaI—MALLEABLE
AND CHARCOAL IRON—riveted together practical
ly air tight—lined 'with pure asbestos—parts being
malleable cm’* '.freak—has a movable reservior and an
oven <l«at doesn’t warp—that’s why the MAJESTIC
uses so little fuel, bakes just right every day in the
year (browns bread just right all over without turn
ing), hea*s 15 gallons of water while breakfast is cook
ing—properly handled lasts a Lifetime, and costs prac
tically nothing for repairs.
Don’t buy the range you expect to last a lifetime
’’unsight unseen;” you'll be sure to be disappointed.
Come to our store during demonstration week, see the
GREAT MAJESTC—have its many exclusive features
explained—find out why the MAJESTIC is .100 per
cent stronger than other ranges where most ranges
are weakest.
DON’T OVERLOOK THE DATE. This is a Special Invitation to You and Your Friends and Neighbors

What has become of the old fashioned bank
who charged only eight per cent, interest?

The good times came back as suddenly as
they departed. We had just a year off, and
it was a “corker.”

Tom Watson, Tom Loyless, and the two Tom
Felders, are managing to keep in the limelight
these days. These Toms are some cats.

Have you visited the southern part of Doug
las recently? Well, you would remember it if
you had. No, the sewers are not “busted.”

There has been a little gossip about the ap
proaching municipal campaign, already. But
that is nothing new—it happens every year.

The Nicholls Journal has changed front a

It begins to look like prohibition for the big
issue in the next gubernatorial campaign. We
thought that was tried out once when Dick
Russell made his whirlwind campaign.

W. J. Bryan has come back—back to Wash
invton this week where he had a conference
with President Wilson. A few of the press
boys seem to be interested in what might have
taken place. We should worry.

The Savannah Morning News issued an ex
tra large edition on last Wednesday and called
it “The Industrial Review'.” It carried news
stories from almost every section of South
Georgia, including one from Douglas. This pa
per has alw'ays given this section a liberal
amount of publicity, more than any of the other
large dailies, which accounts for the popularity
of this great morning paper in Douglas and
Coffee county.
The Willacoochee Chamber of Commerce
seems to be a live body. That progressive
Douglas, Georgia
town has been gradually growing for several
years, and with a live trade body like the pres
ent one, their growth will continue.

From now on let us talk fair, tell our neigh
bors about the big Coffee County Fair, just a
little over seven weeks aw’ay. Matters in the
fair line have begun to hum already and the
next few weeks promises to be very lively at
Secretarv Tanner’s office.
0
The Douglas Chamber of Commerce contin
ues to boost and work out great things for the
town and county. The colonization scheme
looks like it will be a winner, and if it succeeds
this county will advance in one year to what
would be her natural status of fifty years heocf.

Judging from the efforts being made to
have Gov. Harris include a great variety of
measures in his call for a special session of the
Legislature, any legislation comes under the
head of emergency in the eyes of the man who
favors it. If a bill had the support of but one
man and he was intensely interested in having
it enacted it woul be difficult to convice him
that it wasn’t emergency legislation.—Savan
nah Morning News.
