He has received several letters rom various sections urging him to run. THE DOUGLAS ENTERPRISE, DOUGLAS, GEORGIA, JUNE 10, 1916. INOCULATING IS A SURE PREVENTION FOR CHOLERA For the benefit of the farmers of Coffee county or any one else who may be interested, I make the following statement: Some time ago my hogs were ex posed to cholera and I at once decided to have them treated with the hog cholera serum. I asked Mr. Eunice, farm demonstration agent, to come and inoculate them, which he did, and I never lost a one. Also the same da he inoculated Mr. Duncan’s hogs which were exposed to cholera with the same success, while hogs on ad joining farms all died. Since then I have inoculated sev eral herds myself with very good suc cess, and no farmer need doubt its use as a preventative of hog cholera, and I wish to commend and advise every farmer whose hogs are exposed or have cholera t» use it as all the hogs in a herd do not take cholera at one time, so it would be an easy mat ter to save part of the herd if not all. Yours very truly, R. J. VIBBERT, Ambrose, Ga. June 8, 1916. ATTENTION, WATER MELON GROWERS. As the time is drawign near for the melons you have planted to show above the ground and begin to vine, we believe it of vast importance, in order to insure good sound fruit, that you spray your melon vines. In order that there may be an in centative for you to spray, and make it worth your while, we as large buy-1 ers and shippers, wish to advise that j we are willing and will pay more per i par for melons taken from a field that ; has been sprayed, than from a field where the vines have not been sprayed.; We further believe that by spray- j ing the vines a btter melon is pro- j duced, which will carry better to mar- j ket, will keep better, and eat better, for this reason we will be able to pay better prices for your melons that have been spryed. We therefore hope, for the good of the melon growing industry, that all growers will spray their vines, and urge all to do so. For information as to sprayers and materials, we ad vise writing the Southern Brokerage Co., at Fort Valley, Ga* Yours for sound melons, LEONARD, CROSSET & RILEY CREAM SALES GROWING - ' " 11111 -' ,l " ' Which is the best test that our Ice Cream pleases.
