Out of Town Society
THE NEWS AT ZIRKLE
Here we come again, Uncle Jim.
Mr. J. W. Parsons spent Saturday
night and Sunday in Fitzgerald with
his folks.
Mr. Hiriam Hilliard happened to a
very serious accident last Friday,
when a mule which he was riding
stumbled, throwing him across a rail
road, the mule falling on Mr. Hilliard.
He has been in a very serious condition
ever since, and was taken to the Doug
las Hospital early last Monday morn
ing.
Mr. Oscar Griffis spent last Sunday
in Blackshear.
Mr. Vinson spent last Saturday
night and Sunday witm his folks in
Broxton.
Miss Lessie Bennet left Zirkle this
morning to attend the high school in
Blackshear.
Mr. E. L. Davis and son, George,
spent the week end at home.

Here we come after a long absence,
hope this will escape the waste basket.
The leap year party at Mr. and
Mrs. B. L. Davis Saturday night was
a grand success, everybody reports a
nice time especially Tom.
Mrs. J. H. Wall spent last Sunday
with her son, Mr. J. D. Wall.
Mrs. Belle Gillis and family attend
ed preaching at Forest Grove Sunday.
Mr. Loyd Breoker, of the G. N. C.
and B. 1., of Douglas, visited home
folks Saturday night and Sunday
Messrs. Olin and Homer Gillis,
Misses Renna and Wilma Gillis all
visited Miss Deluna Davis Monday
night.
Mr. Charlie Wall made a fling trip
to Douglas Monday.
A large crowd from this section at
tended preaching at Jowers Chapel
Sunday.
Mr. Tom White, of Axson, was very
busy driving around Sunday, guess
his girl had dissapointed him.
Mr. Games Lastingcr, of Cogdell,
was a pleasant visitor at Mrs. J. H.
Walls Sunday night.
Mr. Charlie Wall and sister, Emmie,
were pleasant callers of Miss Deluna
Davis Monday night.
Miss Ruby Smoak, of Fales, visited
Deluna Davis last week.
Miss Deluna Davis was all smiles
Saturday night, wonder why?
Mr. Momer Gillis, says he is going
to purchase a new Oakland car, so
get busy girls, and lets take a ride.
Miss Emmie Wall and Deluna Davis
wore a sad expression on their faces

Well Autumn has come at last.
Messrs Ernest Meeks and Edgar
Davis were the guests of Mr. Arthur
Bake, Sunday for dinner.
Mrs. Jeff Lewis spent Saturday night
with her brother Mr. J. M. Tanner.
Mrs. B. W. Tanner, Mrs. Amos
Meeks, and Mrs. T. H. Dent spent
Monday in town shopping.
Mr. Henry Smith was the guest of
Mr. Jeff Eight Sunday for dinner.
Miss Bulah Penas, of near Kirkland,
is visiting Miss Clara Dent for a few
days.
There was a large crowd out at
Sunday school Sunday afternoon glad
to see so many.
Uncle Jim, Mamie wasn’t at Sun
day school Sunday afternoon, if you
don’t hurry up and come help me to
see about her, Cecil will have her
and gone too.
Mr. B. W. Tanner is spending to-day
(Tuesday) in town.
Mr. and Mrs. Avery Blalock are the
proud parents of a boy at their home.
The New Forest singing folks are
preparing a class for the convention
at Nicholls.
Judge Parker’s son, of Waycross,
was at Sand Hill Sunday for the
benefit of Piedmont.
I Rev. T. S. Hubert, of Douglas,
preached for us at Sand Hill on Sat
urday.
It seems that it is not anything
strange to see Mr. Monrce Deese at
Sunday school every Sunday afternoon
since Miss Annie Belle Cain has been
at home.
Mr. Jeff Eight had to see that Miss
Clara Dent got home safe from Sun-

death of the little twin babies of Mr.
and Mrs. W. Cowart, of which died
on Thursday 6th and Saturday 15th.
