Mrs. Jesse Grantham accompanied Mrs. J. C. Brewer to Douglas Thurs day in their car. Mr. and Mrs. I. Weintroub announce the arival of a boy at their home Friday afternoon. Mrs. J. M. Roberts and daughter of Willacoochee, were the guests of Mrs. H. W. Baird Thursday. Miss Era Goodyear has returned from Waycross, she was accompanied home by Mrs. D. F. Puckett. Miss Myrtice Bailey has returned from Washington, Ga., where she went to attend the burial of her broth er. Christian gave a Silver Tea for her Sunday School class, the “Bible Learn ers”, who endeavored to raise their part on the piano indebtedness. A large crowd was present on fVJrs. O. F. Deen’s spacious lawn, where the Tea was given, and five dollars and thirty cents realized. Woman’s Club. On next Thursday November 2nd the Woman’s Club will hold its regular monthly meeting with a report from the delegate to the Federation, Mrs. Jno. M. Hall. The following program will be car ried out. Roll Call—Name of Lanier Produc tions —Life of Lanier—Mrs. Melvin Tanner—Lanier’s Place in Literature Mrs J. W. Quincey. Reading—Song of the Chattahoochee —Miss Gaffney. Music —Miss Nora Huss and others. RALLY DAY. Sunday, October 29th, will be ob served as Rally Day at the Methodist Sunday School. An effort is being made to have a great many children and grown ups present who are not in the habit of attending Sunday School regularly. An attractive program is being arranged. This rally will in clude both the regular and Home De partment members. The Home De partment members are especially in vited and cars will be provided for any members who are unable to attend otherwise if notice is given Mrs. L. E. Heath.
